In the bloginning....
I am a believer. A believer in the unknown, in the unbelieveable, in the unseen, the untouchable unfathomable depths of the mercy and grace that has been shown to us in these last days by God through His son Jesus Christ and the sacrifice made by him for mankind. Sacrifice you say? One mans death? Amongst all of the pain and suffering of humanity, one mans death is to be reckoned higher than all? Well...yeah. And do you know why? Because he was not a man, not as we know men. He was (and still is by the way) the creator Himself, God almighty, pure love, the chicken AND the egg, come down from heavenly places (get it) to confound the blind who cannot see and say where is God. Where is God they cry as they amaze themselves with their profound utterances, where is God they winge and moan and all the time He is right there saying here I am, behold I stand at the door and knock, whoever hears me knocking and opens the door, behold and lo, I will come in and sup with him and him with me. Sounds like a good deal to me, getting to sup with God BEFORE the end of the world and all. I wouldve thought men would be into that. Its all about positioning yeah? Its all about who you know not what you know. Well know this!!! This is not a fantasy!! and if you're not supping with God, if you don't know Gods love for you, its because youre being ripped off. I will finish my first entry to my first blog with one of the first things that astounded me when I started to read the Holy Bible.
Let me tell you who is ripping you off...but first, I want to tell you there are a number of ways you can become a believer in the unbelievable. You could walk into a christian church and talk to someone (yeah I know I know) or you could say a little prayer to Jesus, 'help me find you Jesus', (ok maybe you could add some more too it of your own), I promise you, if you are truly seeking God (and not seeking to confirm your unbelief) HE WILL HONOUR YOUR PRAYER,the results will amaze you. You see, God is BOUND to His promises, He cannot lie, so if He says He'll be there, He will be there. But remember this... He can see your heart, so if you are just proving to yourself that its all crap...forget it. You can understand that principle cant you? Or you could start to read the Holy Bible but be prepared to be equally amazed at what He will show you there.
Thats what I did, just got a Bible and started to read it. Started at page one and began reading like a story, I just started to read that old book and without going to church or even talking to anyone else, Gods awesome power, the one He uses to do miracles I guess, His Spirit touched me in a way I had never experienced. I would read at night, then next day there would be a question in my head about this or that I had read and then, each night those questions would be answered, specific answers to specific questions. During that time, a white dove came and perched in a tree just outside my backdoor, looking in my backdoor. Seven days it stayed, then I got a cage and put the dove in it. Next day it was dead. I realised later what this meant. You see you cannot cage Gods holy Spirit, God will move in whatever way He chooses, so you better be prepared for that. Two years I read the Bible and THEN I went to a church. You see, man did not convince me, God Himself did. And He will do it for you too. Now......who is ripping you off?
This spun me out when I read it, there, in the pages of the Holy Bible itself were the words, THE GOD OF THIS WORLD IS BLINDING YOUR EYES. Think about that. How many times have you said, 'if God is in control why does He let people suffer'. So you already know the question, doesnt make sense, never has until....until you know the truth and the truth sets you free.
First thing you need to know is, this isnt Gods Kingdom, so to speak. God is not really "in charge" of this world... hang on now...take a good look at this place. But He has the whole universe under control. You see, He has a bigger plan. This life, the Bible says, lasts about as long as the sparks that fly up from the fire at night. Gods plan involves eternity (which is really living outside of this prison of time). Gods plan involves Jesus, known as Lord. Whatever happened on that cross that day, it was more than just meets the eye. He won back the keys to death and to hell and set mankind free. From who? The god of this world. Who is he?? Do you remember that little story about the apple. How the snake got man and woman kicked out of the paradise God had created them in. How they, the snake, the man and the woman all ended up in the same place............OK, its symbolic, well lemme tell you what its symbolic for. The cute little snake is actually an evil spiritual being, cast here by God as punishment for rebellion along with a whole army of nasty troublemakers that he commands here (in the invisible heavenlies, not up in the sky leroy, right next to your bed fred) and the man and woman? You got it... our ancestors. The first man and woman. So get with the truth....see this world the way it is.... know the answers to those (quite simple) questions.
You see, something I'd heard a long time before I even read the Bible, never made sense until I opened my eyes and my ears to see and hear new things. The minute you start on that journey friend, rest assured, God will know about it. Theres angels there too you know, in the invisible heavenlies, right where you are........ go through friend, get through this world and back home. Jesus is Lord and you may just find out why...........
